Richard Teng has been appointed the new CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of Binance after CZ stepped down as part of a settlement with the DOJ (Department of Justice). Changpeng Zhao stepped down as the CEO of Binance on the 21st of November 2023 and Richard Teng was appointed as the new CEO of Binance on the very next day.
Richard Teng has formerly served as the global head of the regional markets of Binance and now has been promoted to CEO. Richard has expressed his futuristic plans and intends to drive the growth of Binance after CZ.
Richard Teng Outlines His Plan for Binance as a CEO
Earlier today, Richard Teng shared his remarks in a blog. He said that he had been backed by the exchange and CZ regarding the futuristic plans for the exchange. As CZ stepped down as part of a settlement with the US Department of Justice, he’ll proceed with the futuristic plans of the exchange. He ensured that Binance would have a more flourishing and transparent future.
Teng said that Binance is going to adopt more customer-centric approaches and would drive positive growth in the Web3 space. Richard said that he has high aims for the platform after being appointed as CEO. He’ll have a lot to learn and share which Teng will be sharing with the crypto community through LinkedIn, Twitter and other social platforms.
Teng Ensures the Exchange’s Concern for Customers
The new Binance CEO plans to run things more systematically, which means having a board of directors, an official address, and being more transparent with finances than before. Moreover, Binance plans to release financial updates and board changes, but the new CEO hasn’t set a specific timeline. Richard Teng reassured customers about the safety and protection of their assets.
