A recent announcement from Google Cloud discloses the platform’s collaboration with El Salvador. The tech giant has started a partnership with the country to develop an office and offer Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) services. The respective collaboration began on the 29th of August. The partnership targets digitizing the country and updating the government services within it.
Google Cloud Digitizes El Salvadoran Education, Healthcare, and Governance
In addition to this, the collaboration also focuses on advancing El Salvador’s education and health systems. The GDC will permit the increase the cooperation between the infrastructure as well as the data generation for the country. El Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele stated that he is confident about the rapid progress of the country. As per him, the country is rapidly turning into an innovation hub.
He mentioned that the country is moving ahead in its advancement. According to Bukele, foreign investment and technology are the chief areas for the country’s development. Apart from that, Bukele shared a post on social media regarding the collaboration with Google. The duration of the collaboration will be nearly seven years. It will assist the authorities in digitizing the processes and projects like permitting, invoicing, and so on.

In Google Cloud’s announcement, the platform said that the entrance of the platform into the country is a cutting-edge move. This makes El Salvador the initial nation where cloud technology is utilized. Google Cloud’s chief executive officer Thomas Kurian commented on this development. As per the executive, the Latin American region may see a real transformation with cloud computing.
Kurian added that the dramatic expansion of cloud computing across diverse regions and markets has witnessed considerable growth. According to Kurian, the increased access to the respective field plays a significant role in this.
