Space Force is the military wing of the USA that deals with the protection of the space entities and territories of the country. Jason Lowery is a major serving at Space force who has recently put some emphasis on the importance of Bitcoin for military purposes.
He has claimed that the government should grant Bitcoin the 2nd amendment immunity while maintaining that Bitcoin is a very necessary element to be used as a weapon for tactical defense.
He also believes that the US government should take a massive pile of Bitcoin in the national reserves. He also suggested the government start Bitcoin mining operations and compete in the market to become the biggest stakeholder and gain control of the decentralized blockchain project.
He opines that Bitcoin should be granted legal immunity under the second amendment as the military can use it as a weapon in the form of self-defense operations.
Lowery has referenced his thesis titled Softwar. It has become the best-selling technology on Amazon. This book was first published in February and it was picked by several people in the cryptocurrency sector.
There are many people in the crypto community such as experts, developers, and analysts who have taken a keen interest in the book and its subject matter is often discussed among them. This book has introduced Bitcoin as an asset of national significance.
He has argued in his book that Bitcoin shares a lot of similarities with the maritime trade routes. Therefore, the government is under the obligation to ensure that it has free navigation and that all trades happening on this route are protected.
He also pointed out that military analysts and tacticians have estimated that the future of war is going to happen in the form of cyber battlefields. He shared that Bitcoin is also used for integration operations of validation systems.
Governments to Control Bitcoin Operations
He has claimed that at present programs are created to cater to external signals only. However, if these external signals are recorded as transactions on Bitcoin it can prevent any type of denial-of-service or other cyber-attacks.
He also pointed out that the PoW model performs online transaction verification without any type of bloodshed or physical force. He alluded to the cold war era when countries tried to upend each other via chess and other sports activities.
His plans have projected that in the future countries are going to be vying for greater control over token networks such as Bitcoin. He opines that in the future countries will claim their power by the way of getting the best chances of validating new blocks.
He also mentioned that PoW blockchains are a good way for the government to offer abstract property rights. On account of these reasons, he has emphasized the stronghold of government over the Bitcoin network.
