Notwithstanding its significant position among the top game publishing platforms within the Web3 world, Ubisoft has carried out another important step.

This time, the firm at the back of famous games like Far Cry and Just Dance is making endeavors to advance its non-fungible token (NFT) strategy by taking it to another dimension.

Ubisoft Collaborates with Integral Reality Labs for Launching NFT Series of Assassin’s Creed

Ubisoft has started a collaboration with Integral Reality Labs. As included in the respective partnership, the platform will develop an NFT collection that will be focused on its prominent action game series known as Assassin’s Creed.

The reports have pointed out that the title of the respective NFT collection is “Assassin’s Creed Smart Collectibles.”

The NFT series includes NFT access passes. The network of Polygon is utilized for minting the respective passes. The passes also have physical pairs or objects that are enthused by the real game.

In this way, an owner will be able to extract the “Digital Soul” NFTs minted by them for a real collectible. It is an exclusive 3D-printed art, denoting diverse heroes existing within the game series.

It is noteworthy that, while waiting for shipping, owners will also be permitted to toggle with the collectible as well as choose from an array of weapons and outfits. They will additionally be permitted to select from a series of poses for the relevant collectible. Nonetheless, after printing and shipping, no additional customization can be done.

Nonetheless, a significant thing in this respect is that there are diverse rarity levels in the case of NFTs. In this respect, the position and quality of the tier determine the extent of the customization ability that is held by the owner.

Another thought-provoking aspect signifies that each of the collectibles contains an embedded near-field communication (NFC) chip.

The respective chip permits an owner to see their character’s digital version via any compatible application on smartphones. Even though Ubisoft has not yet provided formal pricing details, a pre-sale began on Friday while the formal mint is scheduled to occur this year. Interestingly, this is not the earliest instance where Ubisoft will partner up with Integral Reality Labs for this type of project.

Gaming Platform Maintains Its Focus on NFT Projects

Both platforms have formerly operated together for the launch of 3D-printed and customizable collectibles as they are doing at the moment. Nevertheless, the former partnership did not have any tie-in.

Additionally, it was based on Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six, For Honor, Assassin’s Creed, and other such games. In the meantime, the gaming giant has kept on displaying its undeterred interest in the sector of non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

Back in 2021, the platform issued its initial in-game items dealing with a prominent video game. It was the time when the company launched Tezos-powered weapons as well as asset skins for the PC version of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint. Since that time, the platform has focused on developing the One Shot League (Sorare’s spinoff).

Sorare is a soccer-related fantasy game based on NFTs. Apart from that, Ubisoft additionally assisted UNICEF in the development of an NFT experiment. The Rabbids franchise was the basis for the respective NFT experiment.

Since its debut back in the year 2007, Assassin’s Creed has got considerable popularity. The platform asserts that this video game franchise has been very famous so much so that nearly 200M copies thereof have been sold around the world.
